Hello and welcome to part 37 and if you read this i hope you are all well, not great day at moment really misty and rainy so i have come to the man shed to sort my new case record player which has a better sound than the other which is good, it has Bluetooth and radio but it will probably be mainly used for vinyl and at the moment i have Nigel Kennedy on with Vivaldi 4 seasons. And for the size of it well yeah sounds really good. And don’t you think it is a very nice colour as well lol. So yeah much happier with this and i may try and fit a speaker to it at some point but it is very nice just to sit and relax to a bit of Vivaldi played by Kennedy. Yesterday at work was ok but was bit hectic in the afternoon and did not get home until around 7-40 so was a bit tired after my tea, i have to say i am count the hours until my next day off and am not surprised that the days go in quick well it is the 1st of December tomorrow and it does not feel like i have been doing this since March. I have a Christmas night out this Saturday but at the moment am unsure if i will go, not because i am a bah humbug as i do enjoy this time of season but the last few weekends i have been out on the pop so might take a break this weekend we shall see. So onto today and Helen has physio at 3pm so until we get going i am about to sort the garage out as i have left it in a right mess after the storm at the weekend. So Helen's hospital appointment was cancelled so after a quick shop and then a coffee we went to grave yard to put flowers at Helen's dads grave and then home. So not the most exciting day but the weather was rubbish as well and we are due for more rain. I am back at work tomorrow and Thursday so may not be on these days.
So another wee photo this was a day i was out up the mountains on my own i think and on my way back down this beautiful rainbow appeared if i remember right i am sure it was up near the Tarmachan Ridge another good winters walk. So not much to add as it is a school night so it shall be a quiet one i think.

Well hello a cold Friday and once again i am awake early and in my man cave starting todays blog and listening to some pink floyd so not all bad, work has been busy again but yesterday afternoon things did kind of settle down and i even managed to get away at 6pm which was good, i got home had an early tea and then tried to watch the football and managed to miss most goals as i could not stay awake bloody great cant sleep late then can’t stay awake at night 😂 any way i don't mind getting up early gives me more of the day to do things, making a wee Christmas foliage today for my mum and Helen’s mum as well was out cutting bits of holly during the week, i usually buy a wreath but decided i would try and make something myself so did this last year and it was great and lasted ages and felt more personal. Mum always made Christmas special and is why i still enjoy this time of year, we were not rich and during the year it was a struggle for mum but she always made sure Christmas was good, have great memories of the build up to Christmas 🎅 it always seemed to snow Christmas Eve or their was always snow around, Christmas Eve was so great with wee treats all day and i used to love watching all the stuff that was on tv, i remember seeing it’s a wonderful life watching it with mum and the family was great and mum always looked happy mmmm she was probably stressed out her nut but just never let it show, and it is one of these times when i think back and wish i had got a job and gave mum a better time at Christmas and i am sure most of my family do as well. But mum thank you for all these great Christmases and all the rest you did a great job under the most difficult conditions and your the reason i have a good life and still enjoy this time of year oh and of course Helen as well but that should go without saying.
Some frosty and snowy pictures just to get you in the mood, the top one is Monikie park in 2010 when we had thunder snow it was freezing but stunningly beautiful, the other two are from last year taken not far from our house the second one especially was taken on a Saturday night when i decided to go for a walk seeing as it was so cold and fresh and this is taken at Panmuirfield as id the next one.
Brightened it up a bit and thought that it would make a good Christmas card mmmm not tried that yet though maybe one year. Well time for breakfast and a nice big cup of tea….. braw. So have started making the stuff up in front of a roaring fire outside it is a lovely frosty morning just right for doing Christmassy things.
We are now going to decide if we want to go into the town and the Christmas markets or leave that until tomorrow and put up the decorations today mmm i think the decorations may win today we shall see what the boss says lol. I am really a big kid at heart you know that and i hope even as i get older that never changes, we all have things going on and the last two years lots have people have struggled and lost their lives to Covid amongst other things, my work has been really hard as we lost 3 patients in just over a week and another who is very ill well i think she really has had enough of fighting and really it is heart breaking and i have seen so many of my work colleagues had to leave the floor as they could not help but cry it is very hard to take for us all as i say the last two years have been just heartbreaking especially in the unit, but they are good nurses and technicians and they do the job very well under some really difficult times and i am as ever proud to work with them. Right onto other things lets see what the afternoon brings shall we. Well decorations up in house and in man cave and it all went as planned hose and cave now looking very Christmassy and Helen did really well man if i can have one thing and one thing only it would to wish Helen better and that would do me the rest of my/our life but she is a trooper and does not giver herself enough credit. So i will put pictures up of house soon but here is a couple from man shed oh and it is led zep that are playing.
So as days go this has been a really good one just the way i had planned enjoying a nice glass of festive wine and will enjoy a couple of snowballs tonight ha ha yes that’s right my mum always used to give us a glass at Christmas so i will toast her tonight and Helen the love of my life. So until tomorrow i shall finish this for today oh i have bought a new MacBook yes i have surrendered to apple,,,,, cheeso.

Hello Saturday and a bacon roll to start mmmm braw, had a really good day yesterday and it did end up with a couple of snowball drinks which was very nice, today i may be in the town to the markets but still have not decided if i am going out tonight even though i have paid for it but shall have to make my mind up soon. As promised here is some photos of the house.
So lets see what the day brings and i shall try and make my mind up about tonight but will probably go for a while. Not going to markets today as it is pouring down sleet so will leave this until tomorrow now.
Well I have decided to give tonight a miss as I am just tired and have already falling asleep twice, I just at the moment can’t sleep past 6am or around that time and by early evening I’m just beat, weather is crap as well and I don’t want to haul Helen out to take me in so would mean either two busses to get their or taxi their and back. So I went out for another walk for half hour winds blowing again and cold but it was a nice walk.
Well it will be a night in and I am going to have a couple of drams or if I manage an hours kip may be red wine instead.

Hello and welcome to Sunday and after a breakfast we decided to go to the markets today which was really good and I think they should do something like this all the time in Dundee, it has been a good day plenty of blue skies and it was cold but makes you feel a lot more like christmasy they have a a few good stalls and even have a bar which at some point soon I would love to try so do intend to go back down but may leave it until later at night have a go on the big wheel then bit to eat and a couple of beers, perfect
we went and did a bit of retail therapy and Helen got some of my Christmas presents bought whoop whoop ha ha. And I am also enjoying my new MacBook Air but it did take a while to set up. Well after yesterday and not feeling like doing much I do feel better today and although it was a bit of a struggle for Helen I am glad that she came out and walked with me down to see everything and get some air. Well again we come to the end of this weeks blog and a new one tomorrow, tonight shall be a wee dram and tv night after a braw tea of beef olives mmm yummy and get in ma tummy. So it just leaves me to say be happy and enjoy this festive season. BYEEEEE
