Hello and welcome to part 36 of this exciting blog ha ha well i try my best, so Monday morning and not much to say as i am not long up i am about to have breakfast then do couple of wee jobs and then i shall be taken Helen to her treatment in the hope that it all goes well today for her as although she felt bit better yesterday i think she is still fed up and again i cant blame her. Last night was a very sleepy night as we both fell asleep watching something on TV so i think we are going to have to watch it again i think my 4 pints of cider helped with the sleep ha ha or i am just an old git mmmm i blame the cider. So Helen dropped off for her treatment and I have come down near Invergowrie bay for a walk and their is no one here at the moment very quiet apart from some traffic noise, it’s cold and bit cloudy but it is nice.
Invergowrie bay
Well I am back from picking Helen up and it all seem to go well, so after my walk and a coffee I headed back to pick up Helen and it was back home as she felt ok but just wanted back, on way home we noticed a really cool sunset that just got better as sun set.
Just few photos of sun setting across the Tay
Well i have one more day off tomorrow then i am back for three before the weekend where on Saturday i will be off to Dingwall to watch Dundee United this will be only the second time i have seen this season and i have picked a game that is a 3hr journey by bus mm be fine going their but not so sure coming back but i am sure if we win then it will have been worth the journey. So that is it for today it shall be a nice easy night.

So been to dentist and had both team sorted I hope as was there for near an hour one of my teeth was very sensitive so he worked on it for a while but although gums still frozen I’m sure it is still bit sensitive anyway we shall see. Helen has stayed in bed as she still feels bit sick so I’ve told her to do what she feels good with feel so much for her as there is nothing I can do. I went for a walk around the town centre after the dentist and it’s a shame to see it in such a state lots of empty shops lots of homeless people and generally looking run down, the council are spending money on the waterfront but really it needs s time they spent more money elsewhere. I used to like going into the town especially this time of year some great shops and always a great atmosphere, now well apart from the Overgate well their is not much else and it looks like they are not putting much up in the city square for Christmas as well It is a real shame.
So another snowy picture and another reason why I like the snow as it just makes everything look quiet and just think it give me the chance to enjoy myself more taking photos. This is up beside Dalmunzie beside Glenshee it’s a lovely place especially in the winter. So now onto bit of sanding down a table and then a varnish. Well that was messy ha ha they sanders are great but man i am covered in dust now. I will leave the varnishing until maybe Sunday as am back at work rest of this week. Helen still not great so i am off to the shops to try and get some messages as we have not much in the house and i dont want to leave Helen without anything while i am away to my job just in case she is not in the mood of going out tomorrow. Well another walk done and did see the Heron and managed to snap it before it took off. Well that's it for today and probably the next few days, if i do get time i shall come and do a bit more depending how busy we get at work but until then time to go.

Hello well to start i am only working two days this week so this is a wee bonus, it is good as my tooth the one the dentist filled was very sensitive so managed to get in to see him again this morning and get it sorted for now, i am in cave putting up a poster map of Scotland that i use to use when i went climbing/walking i used to mark all the mountains off when i did them, i am making a small walking corner now will put some photos of the walks that i have done around this poster and hang both ice axes there as well, i am listening to som vinyl on my wee record player mmm wondering if i should try to get something a bit better as it is not a great sound and very tinny, we shall see. So weather took a real turn over night very cold first time my car has beeped to tell me that temp was 4c or lower since January and was bit frost as well, think we are due a storm tomorrow into Saturday but am hoping this settlers before trip to Dingwall.
Just heard the weather forecast again and boy it does sound wild for the weekend but they do say until Saturday morning fingers crossed. So was a quiet afternoon i am off out for a walk soon but wont be far just need a bit fresh air. Helen feeling slightly better but still wants to stay close to home so apart from the dentist not done much.

Hello and welcome to this Sundays blog but first of all o want to take you back to Friday 26/11/21 when we were hit with one of the worse storms i have ever encountered storm Arwen the day started fine was bright but really cold and it was predicted by around 2pm the storm would start and boy they never lied, i was at work when it did and you could see the trees beginning to sway and it built up from then, i walked down for my car at 4pm and it was really kicking off but the worse was still to come, when I finished around 7pm and walked out of my work all i can say is i have never felt wind like this and the noise was really unbelievable and i mean really loud. By the time i got home i had a msg from my neighbour to say that he thinks a tree has come down he had heard a snap then it falling, luckily it fell away from the house and towards a building behind us and again luckily it missed the building as well and only caused a little damage.
I also had to take part of the green house down it nearly lifted me in the air and by time I wrestled it and got it into the garage my hands were numb. Through the night the noise was scary it was blowing against the house and lights flickering all night and at one point we had to open the door and it took both of us to close I thought it was going to blow if it’s hinges. I could not check anything until today as yesterday I was away to Dingwall to watch Dundee United which I will go into later but I went and climbed over and could not believe what I was seeing how no houses were damaged or nobody hurt is a bloody miracle.
As you can see so very lucky nothing was damaged. So bit of a clean up now will be back later to put bit on about the away day.
Well we went to Dingwall yesterday and after Fridays storm i thought it would never happen but hey thought lets just go, a great day bit spoilt with the result 1-1 and they scored with the last kick of the ball. I have travelled this road before and it was a great drive up as most of the mountains were covered with snow.
Was a real nice drive, we arrived in time to go for a pint and managed to get in one of the bars at the ground so that was perfect, it was snowing when we got their but it never threatened the game, so couple of pints and venison pie the staple football fans diet.
We all decided that it was a good day and even though it was just over 3hrs on the bus the journey back was fine as well, stopping in Aviemore for something to eat and arriving home about 9-20 then a couple of drams in the house.
So as i have already mentioned about today and the clear up as much as i can the rest was spent at the shops then in the kitchen making some homemade soup and stuff for our tea tonight, tonight as it is a school night it shall be a relaxing evening with Helen, i am at work tomorrow so will be Tuesday probably before i start next weeks. So until then i hope you are all well if you are reading this and until next week. BYEEEEE
