59 to 60 Part 36

                                                                                22/11/21

Hello and welcome to part 36 of this exciting blog ha ha well i try my best, so Monday morning and not much to say as i am not long up i am about to have breakfast then do couple of wee jobs and then i shall be taken Helen to her treatment in the hope that it all goes well today for her as although she felt bit better yesterday i think she is still fed up and again i cant blame her. Last night was a very sleepy night as we both fell asleep watching something on TV so i think we are going to have to watch it again i think my 4 pints of cider helped with the sleep ha ha or i am just an old git mmmm i blame the cider. So Helen dropped off for her treatment and I have come down near Invergowrie  bay for a walk and their is no one here at the moment very quiet apart from some traffic noise, it’s cold and bit cloudy but it is nice.

                                                                   Invergowrie bay
Well I am back from picking Helen up and it all seem to go well, so after my walk and a coffee I headed back to pick up Helen and it was back home as she felt ok but just wanted back, on way home we noticed a really cool sunset that just got better as sun set.

Just few photos of sun setting across the Tay
Well i have one more day off tomorrow then i am back for three before the weekend where on Saturday i will be off to Dingwall to watch Dundee United this will be only the second time i have seen this season and i have picked a game that is a 3hr journey by bus mm be fine going their but not so sure coming back but i am sure if we win then it will have been worth the journey. So that is it for today it shall be a nice easy night.

                                23/11/21
So been to dentist and had both team sorted I hope as was there for near an hour one of my teeth was very sensitive so he worked on it for a while but although gums still frozen I’m sure it is still bit sensitive anyway we shall see. Helen has stayed in bed as she still feels bit sick so I’ve told her to do what she feels good with feel so much for her as there is nothing I can do. I went for a walk around the town centre after the dentist and it’s a shame to see it in such a state lots of empty shops lots of homeless people and generally looking run down, the council are spending money on the waterfront but really it needs s time they spent more money elsewhere. I used to like going into the town especially this time of year some great shops and always a great atmosphere, now well apart from the Overgate well their is not much else and it looks like they are not putting much up in the city square for Christmas as well It is a real shame.
So another snowy picture and another reason why I like the snow as it just makes everything look quiet and just think it give me the chance to enjoy myself more taking photos. This is up beside Dalmunzie beside Glenshee it’s a lovely place especially in the winter. So now onto bit of sanding down a table and then a varnish. Well that was messy ha ha they sanders are great but man i am covered in dust now. I will leave the varnishing until maybe Sunday as am back at work rest of this week. Helen still not great so i am off to the shops to try and get some messages as we have not much in the house and i dont want to leave Helen without anything while i am away to my job just in case she is not in the mood of going out tomorrow. Well another walk done and did see the Heron and managed to snap it before it took off. Well that's it for today and probably the next few days, if i do get time i shall come and do a bit more depending how busy we get at work but until then time to go.
                                                                               25/11/21
Hello well to start i am only working two days this week so this is a wee bonus, it is good as my tooth the one the dentist filled was very sensitive so managed to get in to see him again this morning and get it sorted for now, i am in cave putting up a poster map of Scotland that i use to use when i went climbing/walking i used to mark all the mountains off when i did them, i am making a small walking corner now will put some photos of the walks that i have done around this poster and hang both ice axes there as well, i am listening to som vinyl on my wee record player mmm wondering if i should try to get something a bit better as it is not a great sound and very tinny, we shall see. So weather took a real turn over night very cold first time my car has beeped to tell me that temp was 4c or lower since January and was bit frost as well, think we are due a storm tomorrow into Saturday but am hoping this settlers before trip to Dingwall.
Just heard the weather forecast again and boy it does sound wild for the weekend but they do say until Saturday morning fingers crossed. So was a quiet afternoon i am off out for a walk soon but wont be far just need a bit fresh air. Helen feeling slightly better but still wants to stay close to home so apart from the dentist not done much.

                                                                     28/11/21
Hello and welcome to this Sundays blog but first of all o want to take you back to Friday 26/11/21 when we were hit with one of the worse storms i have ever encountered storm Arwen the day started fine was bright but really cold and it was predicted by around 2pm the storm would start and boy they never lied, i was at work when it did and you could see the trees beginning to sway and it built up from then, i walked down for my car at 4pm and it was really kicking off but the worse was still to come, when I finished around 7pm and walked out of my work all i can say is i have never felt wind like this and the noise was really unbelievable and i mean really loud. By the time i got home i had a msg from my neighbour to say that he thinks a tree has come down he had heard a snap then it falling, luckily it fell away from the house and towards a building behind us and again luckily it missed the building as well and only caused a little damage.

I also had to take part of the green house down it nearly lifted me in the air and by time I wrestled it and got it into the garage my hands were numb. Through the night the noise was scary it was blowing against the house and lights flickering all night and at one point we had to open the door and it took both of us to close I thought it was going to blow if it’s hinges. I could not check anything until today as yesterday I was away to Dingwall to watch Dundee United which I will go into later but I went and climbed over and could not believe what I was seeing how no houses were damaged or nobody hurt is a bloody miracle.

As you can see so very lucky nothing was damaged. So bit of a clean up now will be back later to put bit on about the away day.
Well we went to Dingwall yesterday and after Fridays storm i thought it would never happen but hey thought lets just go, a great day bit spoilt with the result 1-1 and they scored with the last kick of the ball. I have travelled this road before and it was a great drive up as most of the mountains were covered with snow.

Was a real nice drive, we arrived in time to go for a pint and  managed to get in one of the bars at the ground so that was perfect, it was snowing when we got their but it never threatened the game, so couple of pints and venison pie the staple football fans diet.

We all decided that it was a good day and even though it was just over 3hrs on the bus the journey back was fine as well, stopping in Aviemore for something to eat and arriving home about 9-20 then a couple of drams in the house.

So as i have already mentioned about today and the clear up as much as i can the rest was spent at the shops then in the kitchen making some homemade soup and stuff for our tea tonight, tonight as it is a school night it shall be a relaxing evening with Helen, i am at work tomorrow so will be Tuesday probably before i start next weeks. So until then i hope you are all well if you are reading this and until next week. BYEEEEE

59 to 60 part 35

15/11/21
Hello and welcome to part 35 of this blog and unfortunately not the best start as i have had to stay off work due to waking up during the night with what i thought was toothache, i phoned and saw dentist and he has had a good look but can’t see much wrong and he says it may be to do with my sinuses as where the tooth is it can affect it and make it feel like it is my tooth. I have to go back next week and and he is going to refill one beside where the pain is but as i say he does not think it is this that is causing the problem. So we shall have to wait and see and if it is sinuous then i will have to phone my doctor. I decided to have a walk around the docks just to get some fresh air as it is turning out to be a good day sun is out and it is clearing well.

If it does get frosty over night i may again go out with my camera to see if can get some more shots. Time for me to go back for a kip as i can feel myself begin to go so maybe a couple of hours sleep will help.
Well back up and still feel bit sore so i have been out and bought some spray for my nose to see if this helps. Went to Arbroath to get out for a while and a bit fresh air, i wish i took my camera as it was a lovely sunset but i think my phone did not to bad.

I should take my camera with me when i go out as you just never know what you will see, i am also using a new editing tool so it is a bit of a play for me at the moment but the last photo well that’s a nice frosty looking photo and i think it shall be over night.

Well that’s it for today i shall listen to the Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 game tonight we have already reached the playoffs but if we can get a draw or even win against Denmark 🇩🇰 tonight it will mean we will get a home game in that play off, fingers crossed 🤞

                                                                               16/11/21
Well we did it we beat Denmark 2-0 what a glorious night for Scotland we were already in playoffs but by wining the game yesterday we are now seeded and will play at home so i celebrated with a wee dram while i watched the highlights a great night for our country. So today i was up early as i could not get back to sleep at 7-30 as my mouth was sore again but maybe not as bad. Today it will be up to the hospital with Helen and see if they can get her feeling better especially her breathing as it is getting to her the fact that she cant get out walking properly and i must admit i can imagine how she must feel and can also imagine it would give her a big boost if they manage to make her feel a bit better, and of course i have had to take a day off again to go with her we shall wait and see what happens as i am meant to be on annual leave after today. Just been out sorting a garden box which broke last year when i sat on it ha ha yes luckily i never went through it as it had a few sharp things in it, i think now it will be safe hmmm to sit on. Right time to go and get ready to go.
Well back from the Hospital and Helen had fluid removed it is just a matter of waiting 24hrs to see if this works for her and here is hoping it does, if it does she will consider getting a drain put in as it will benefit her in the long run. Well short one today lets eye what tomorrow brings.

                                                                                     17/11/21
Hello and welcome to Wednesdays blog, Helen feeling a bit sore today as well but that was expected so we are going to see how she feels later this afternoon and if she wants just a lazy day then that is fine by me. I have been out on the bike this morning and managed to fit in a good 25 miles was a cold morning though with a few showers and if i am not mistaken i am sure it was a bit sleet as well  but i was well wrapped up so all was good. Went down to east haven where i have not been for a while and at that point the sun was still out and you get great views from here.

                                                                        From today's cycle
I am now off to the garage to try and clean a bit more of it up mmmm watch this space! Garage clearance going well another load of stuff taken to the tip and some stuff hung up as well i can actually see the floor now lol. While doing this i noticed a full rainbow right beside the house what a wonderful site that is.

So after the tip and on the way back i began to feel bit sick not sure what has done it so i have decided to stop for now and am now in my man shed just taken it easy in the hope that whatever it is will settle.

                                    18/11/21
Well very windy today lot of things getting blown about. I am currently waiting on Helen who is getting bloods taken and then I think we’re of for a nice bite to eat. Well bloods went well for Helen and we decided to head up to Forfar for lunch soup and a sandwich at the Mill and very nice it was to, got back home feeling bit tired but still came out and built another wee table for the cave and still tidying the garage up, getting there but it is a very slow process. Not much else to say for today except we met my niece and her husband on way back which was nice they are a great couple so was nice to have a wee chat. Tomorrow we’ll depending on the weather hopefully will be a few miles on the bike and maybe even a couple of ciders mmm yup.

                                   19/11/21
Good morning and a very happy Friday to you all, I was up early and decided to put a wee table I made in the man cave whilst doing this my back just went again, wasn’t really doing anything at the time just stood up and bang, so will give it a couple of hours to see how this day is going to go, I am going to try and do few things as one thing I do know is that sitting won’t help. So table now in and I know have a music comer 😂 whoop.
                                                                 A thing of beauty lol
Well i have taken a couple of painkillers and it has helped slightly but it is a raw pain i have at the moment one i have felt many times and it will either go one way where by tomorrow it might be better or it will take two to three days i am really hoping it is tomorrow but the feeling is a couple of days which is so annoying on my days off but i suppose it is what it is and i will just have to try and get on with it. I am out doing a bit more work in the garage and the cave just trying to keep moving with the odd break now and again and i am currently listening to some vinyl and of course doing this days blog. It is funny in a way in the house as Helen is ohing and ahing with pain and i am doing the same ha ha were like a couple of 80yr olds. the weather today is not to bad but still very windy but the sun is out and seemingly from tomorrow we are due an arctic blast so it is going to get a lot colder mmm and hopefully a bit frost asd i have had my camera ready to go for  a while now so hope we do get a bit of cold weather. So onto the rest of the day have a couple of things I need to do but nothing to important.
Another Glencoe photo, I have been up to the summit on Etiv Mhor a stunning mountain with black rock cottage at the base as you can see from this photo. I wonder if I shall get back to here to climb this again
So we are back from shops and we did a good thing as we included stuff for the food banks that some people now have to use due to the Tory scum leaving them short of money to live on, i would like to go right into this mmm but i wont as this is not what this should be about but in sure you get where i stand 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Helen did not to bad today and i hope as another day comes she feels better and i need to be a bit mor patient with her as well. I came back home and have cleared more of the garage man that is a big job and there is still a fair bit to do but i am happy doing it. As for my back well it is not much better so i cant see the bike getting used much in the next couple of days i shall just have to wait and see what i am like on the day.

Just a couple of photos from today while we sat and had a coffee some amazing skies at the moment and it looks set to be a cold night as it was a very nice pink winter sky we shall see tomorrow morning.

                                                                          20/11/21
Hello Saturday and well no not a great start again i was awake at 7 and had to get up as my back has not got any better actually feels worse, i came through to the living room to read my book and did manage to fall asleep again for a while, the only good thing at the moment is the weather is not great so don’t think i would be out on the bike anyway, but I hate when my back has gone as it does limit what i can do. I am going to try and go for a walk as i think i have said sitting all say is not good so we shall have to see how the day goes.
Been out for walk which has done me a bit of good so I may consider doing the same again later depending on how I feel. I am going to go out with Helen for a while as well to try and keep of my back for a while, I have a bigger decision to make though, my back has gone twice quite quickly and my arse cheeks have been bit sore as well so I have to decide if I should take a month of the bike and see if this helps things to heal? But I know what I am like once I begin to feel a bit better the bike is out and I’m chomping at the bit to get the miles in but I seriously need to get sorted as it is doing me no good. So just waiting on Helen and the rain has just gone off but I just made it back in time before that heavy shower came on.

A favourite photo of mine of the birds of Aberfeldy and if I stop cycling for a month I may have a visit to here. So went for another walk and caught the moon rising, what a beautiful thing to see.

As you can see it was a lovely moon rise

                                                                             21/11/21
Good morning and feel bit better today but back still bit stiff  so it will be another day of walks i think, it is windy again and colder but no frost which is a pity as was hoping to get some photos today. Helen was bit upset last night so am hoping we can sort something out so she can start beginning to enjoy life again so hopefully we will have a talk and see what we can come up with.  So lets see what the day brings.
Been for a walk which was good as it was cold and fresh, also sorting out my music especially the cd’s as they’ve been left in the garage for to long now so getting them in man cave one by one.
This is not even half the collection bloody hell ha ha well I do enjoy my 🎶. So spoke to Helen and told her I was really concerned for her and her low mood she did say yesterday that’s nhs got on top of her but she agrees we have to start doing things and get out earlier and just getting back to enjoying life, but of course it is hard for Helen really hard and I wish I had more patience’s but I am sure we can do something to help lift her mood as I’m sure she hates it and I just hate seeing her struggle so we shall see what we can do.
Well decided after bit of b&q to come for few pints of cider very refreshing indeed.
In the Anchor bar and have to say they really go to town at this time of year the decorations are bloody great  it must take them forever to put h up lol and me being a person who’s still enjoys this time well I have to say it is very Christmassy. Well back home me had a walk up he road the moon looked great behind the clouds and some trees.

Well another Sunday just about done just time to relax and enjoy the rest of the day, few pints of cider went down well and some nice pubs as well. So again thank you if you take time to read this it is very much appreciated and until the next one, take care. Byeeeee
