Well hello and welcome to part 30 of this blog and to start as always if you are reading this i hope your enjoying. Tuesday and i managed to get some time back and finished early so it was a quick trip to wickes to buy some building sand and a bag of cement for the slabs final laying either tomorrow or sometime over the weekend , was hoping tomorrow but Helen has been given an appointment for physiotherapist at kings cross hospital so will have to wait and see what time we get back at. The picture today is from a mountain walk during winter and of course it has had a small edit. Well it has not been the most exciting start again just two days of work which although have been busy they have been fine. Tonight i shall listen to the Scotland 🏴 game another crucial match but one they should win here is hoping they do as it gives the nation a lift.
Three of my favourite photos, they were taken in a cemetery in Perth and as soon as i saw it i felt i had to take a photo, the detail in this is amazing and even though here face is partly covered her face is full of sorrow just amazing statue, i did have a close look at her face but never went to close with camera just never felt right but I could not walk past this without a photo. It also reminds me a bit of my mum as i am sure during my youth she must have been in this position a few times with her head on her hand wondering what have i or we been up to this time. So that’s this blog up and running but as for now i feel 40 winks is needed.

Hello and welcome to Wednesday and a quiet start to the day, was up early as could not get back to sleep so had a couple of chapters of my book before breakfast, then it was out to take Helen to her physio appointment, not sure how long she will be so have been for a walk along the miles like a wee forest walk, was not to exciting but did meet a couple of ladies who were doing their bit to try and keep this walk free of litter mmm I feel for them as that won’t be easy, I have them a hand for 10min or so and had a chat nice people and do wish their was more like them. One of them pointed out the mural that had been painted on the tunnel it was very colourful.
Think it hey helped with this design and does cheer the walk up. Headed back to the car where I am now and managed one more photo the trees are changing into their autumn colours.
Don’t you just love this time of year? We’ll still sitting waiting to here from Helen so I may take another wee walk. So back home after a coffee and cake at the speckled hen bought more honey as well and some kindling for when i want an fire going outside, it has been a good day sun has been out and it has been warm as well so i have now come out to the man cave for a while to do a few wee jobs and everything seems fine, i have decided to leave laying the slabs until the weekend as it will give me a bit more time as I feel if i started now i would just end up doing a rush job which would of course be pointless as i want it done right. I have never done things like this before laying slabs or digging parts of the garden up or just DIY but i have to say i am getting right into it and do enjoy it. So tonight shall be another quite night as am back at work tomorrow for one day so i am hoping it all goes well and am looking forward as always my time off as next week i have 4 straight days in a row which will be tiring.

Hello Friday and what an busy day it has been, started with a quick breakfast then off to take the bike down to the cycle hub for a small service which has now been done and all ok but does or will need new tyres soon so they are hoping to see to that which is fine, it was then a walk home which is about 6miles and it was a stunning autumn day cold in the shade but very warm in the sun, it was a great walk and their was another rig coming into Dundee so I decided to stay on the bottom road and get a few photos. The big wheel is here again as well so after a coffee at the hub I decided to take a few photos of this as well.
It really was a stunning day as you can see and i have to say the waterfront was looking great and did enjoy sitting on one of the benches looking out to Fife enjoying my cake and coffee ☕️ i really need to go down some night and take some more photos, so the walk home was enjoyed and some great photos of the rig coming in.

Really was good to see more jobs come into Dundee. So after walk home i decided to have a small break then come out and get these slabs laid which has now been done and for a first timer i don't think i have done to bad a job of it mmm i hope I’m saying this in a couple of days time when they have beaded in.Boy what a day I’m am now sitting in the cave with a beer and I’m about sleeping ha ha but i am a happy boy as i can see changes in the garden now things io thought i would not be able to do but i just try my best and if i am happy with it and Helen is happy well then that’s all that really matters. So it will be another beer and then maybe a couple tonight if i can stay awake, Helen has gone into the town to buy couple of things so I just waiting for her to get home and we shall see what the night brings.

Well Saturday has been fine i decided after a braw bacon buttie to have an easy day after yesterday’s adventures, is not too bad today and just got better as Dundee United have beaten Hibs 3-0 and not before time we turned them over. Today i managed to sort rudie our wooden deer and give it a go over with somewhere wood protection, and also i have built a small table in the cave
Ha ha i know it does not look much but it gives me a few options where to put stuff and also free’s up some space as well and i also think i can fit another one as well. As for the deer well he is looking good bit red but good.
Hello people
It was then time to go out for a while get a nice big pizza for tea and then go and pick up my bike which is now back home. Tonight i think i may open a nice bottle of red wine to enjoy while watching the football. I also have put up a bird feeder and my stick man on the cave ha ha yes i did say stick man which i got from my niece Helen and he has been used as ruddies tale for the last couple of years.
Yes i know by the time i am finished i wont be able to get in this cave 😂 but i am enjoying being outside more and i am getting a few mor things done in the garden which is one of the reasons i got this. Years ago when we first moved here i was happy with the garden but soon discovered it takes a lot to keep it clean and probably never looked forward to summer and the thought of having to go and do weeding and grass cutting if anyone ever told me that you would begin to enjoy it i would have laughed at them, yes the weeding is the worse bit but if i manage to keep on top of it then it is fine. Well onto tonight and as i say nice red tonight and a nice chill. But for right now well i think i deserve to have 40 winks.

Well end of another week and got to say not the best as it has been pretty grey rainy and dull kind of day, sp decided to start on garage trying to get some space which i did manage but still a lot of work to do their, took some old stuff to Tip then went on a wood hunt looking in skips like a pure gadge and did manage to get a good couple of bits and a pallet. I was hoping to finish the slabs today but it is far to wet and i am back at work for 4 days in a row so won’t get them done now until the following week as we are away the weekend coming which should be great as we are meeting friends who we have not seen since Covid started nearly two years ago. As for today well not much really just bit of shopping then to put some flowers at Helens dads stone and we are now back home with the heating on chilling. Well the week has been quite productive plenty done in the 3days and last night i did have that bottle of red wine and watched a bit TV and listened to bit music mmm mainly KISS.
The god of thunder Gene Simons
And tonight it will be pretty much the same apart from the red wine as it is a school night but i do have a very small dram left in a bottle i may have just to make space of course 😂. So blog 30 finished it just leaves me to say until 31 this is Ged saying BYEEEEEE.
