Hello and welcome to this rather late start to my blog, it is Wednesday and i have had a bit of a busy week so could not get time to get it started. Work has been full on but today i am off and the sun is out so shortly i shall be away out on bike for a cycle. The photo is of me and Helen on Prince Edward Island one of our many holidays which i promise i shall wright more about. Latest update on my nephews wife well she is no longer in ICU but is now in ward 22 the renal ward and she is doing slightly better which is good news. Helen is better this week has been having up and down days but seems bit more settled mmm apart from this problem with her arm. So as i say Monday and Tuesday weather wise was poor but we have clear skies today and this is meant to last until late afternoon when i think were due more rain and not sure the rest of the week is looking great either so i think it is time to get the mountain bike ready for action.
Well good today was sunny bud colder but a good 21miles pretty flat but a good wee run, also booked felty in for a winter service next Friday. Back home then out again with Helen and went to pick up some chairs to use in the man cave if I ever get visitors and also a plastic rug as it is easy to clean.
So it is all taking shape which is great and I’m enjoying getting out more in the garden then coming in to have a while in the shed just perfect. Do a quick wee dam then into the house I have one more day if work tomorrow then I’m of the wknd again my off duty has been great this time, so it shall be a quiet night tonight but of tv 📺 then early night for a read before i zzzz it.

Up kind of early this morning and decided to go out and lay some slabs up to my shed mmm well pre lay as i will have to take the grass away and put some weed protection down and level them out so i have kind of mapped it out, could not sleep as their are workmen in the street sound like they are using a saw so a bit noisy. I need to have an early breakfast as i am off to get my Covid booster jab and not sure if they will give me my flu jab as well.
As you can see it was non stop rain so kind of glad i never put the sand down but will have to be carful and not trip on them as they are a bit uneven at moment but hopefully they will Turin out well when i get the sand down so fingers crossed for that. I also got back in the house in time from a nice delivery guy to bring me my latest whisky mmm Dewars aged 12 years the Ancestors blended whisky 🥃
Flu jab and booster done so it was straight back into the garden and pre lay these slabs and bugger it i managed to break 4 of them 😠 but luckily i have spare ones, i have put them down without any sand at the moment just to get a good shape and hopefully either this wknd or this coming Tuesday i shall lift them and put the building sand under and level them off.
I may enjoy a couple of drams from this tomorrow especially if Scotland 🏴 manage to win, here is hoping. So now back home and it is still pretty dull and rainy out so i think i may have 40 winks and it is a nice easy tea tonight so no bloody dishes man do you ever get sick of doing dishes ha ha. I dont think tomorrow is to be much better so it will be a man shed day then the fitba, but if it is ok tomorrow i may get out for a cycle.

Good morning and happy Saturday breakfast has been eaten and i am back in my man shed putting a few things up and yes currently it is raining again but am a wee bit hopeful of maybe getting a few miles in later as it is meant to clear. I have been putting flags and hooks up to hang all my mugs on so at last i can enjoy being in the shed rather than out in the rain. I have a few things to do but their not hard as my arms are sore from where i had my jabs yesterday and they kept waking me up but hey its no problem as long as i am protected. Here is couple of photos from this morning .
Not to bad eah, I am now currently sitting in the shed waiting for this rain to go off as it is heavy at moment, i am hoping to cut strips of wood to finish of the flooring so will give it ten minutes see if rain goes of if not then will head into garage to cut them. Helen is still in her bed she had glass and half of wine and she says she feels like she has had a bottle, really feel for her as she does like a glass now and again but ever since this treatment started it really has changed things for her mmm don’t get me wrong i am so happy that treatment works but it be good to see her with no pain and feeling like herself again. But i really admire her inner strength even though she would say she has none but she sure does.
So back to doing a bit more here lets see what i can achieve.
Well not a bad day fair bit done in the man shed then out for a while for a coffee and have pre ordered my curry for tonight. Saw part of a rig coming in while in the ferry looked impressive.
Always good to see this in Dundee as it means plenty of work in the docks. Although it looks dark out there the sun is trying to break through but if it will make it remains to be seen. I am currently listening to the Scotland game 5min gone and already we are 1-0 down mmmm no surprise really but plenty of time to go but not a great start against Israel one of the joys of supporting them is you just don't know what to expect. So am hoping that is the rain off for a while so can finally get slabs sorted as it does look a mess at the moment. Anyway tonight after the curry i may have a couple of wee drams am hoping to get out tomorrow for a cycle run, watch this space.

Sunday has arrived and after last nights result Scotland wining 3-2 well i had a couple of drams but did wake up feeling fine so as rain was off decided to go for a cycle and managed 20miles but it was colder, was good to get out though, as i was cycling i swear i saw a mini tornado beside the sidlaws i took a couple of photos but by time i got phone out i think i missed the best of it.
The rest of the day was quiet just a quick shop then the and cake and am now back at the house taking it easy as i am back at work tomorrow and Tuesday off Wednesday then back Thursday exactly same as this week. So not much more to report for today, oh well one thing my curry 🍛 last night from Bombay Jo’s was bloody fantastic and i ate every single bit including a garlic Nan it was bloody lovely mmmmm 😂 so until next weeks blog take care BYEEEEE
